Get to know your favourite wine producing regions
The selection of expert-led wine tours will take you through some of the most beautiful countryside in France, Italy and Spain. Explore rolling vineyards, visit atmospheric cellars and get to know the people who spend their lives perfecting some of the world's best wines.
The cellars visited are a mix of famous names and small wine producers. All create wines that you will be able to try locally and any that are truly memorable will be available in a Waitrose store or through Waitrose Wine Direct when you return.
You will travel with a small group of like-minded people, enabling you to visit the smaller vineyards comfortably as well as being able to share the experience. On each tour, there will be opportunities to:
- explore the area and experience the culture and history of the region
- take in the local architecture
- visit museums and markets
- spend time sampling the local cuisine at your own pace.
Learn from the experts
Many of our experts accompanying the tours are, or were, Waitrose Wine Buyers and many are Masters of Wine (MW), the highest qualification in the wine trade.
All will be on-hand to make this a truly enriching experience by:
- introducing the wine regions visited each day
- accompanying each winery visit,
- visit museums and markets
- being available to answer any questions that you or your fellow wine enthusiasts may have, whatever your level of knowledge.
